As part of the St. Paul’s School curriculum, pupils have numerous extracurricular and Enrichment opportunities. Our current scholars have been taking advantage of these opportunities and participating in many different activities.
One of those is the Rowing Club, which has been a traditional activity in St. Paul’s School and was brought back this school year. Two of our scholars, Giordano and Vitor, are involved in this unique club.
Sport is certainly an important area of the Paulean experience. Recently, pupils participated in the International School Sports League (ISSL – Rancho) – a competition between international schools in South America. In Varsity Basketball, our scholar Claudia helped her team win the gold medal!
Another popular enrichment activity at the school is the Duke of Edinburgh Award. This is an internationally recognised program for young people, building their skills to equip them for life and work. Recently, we had our scholar Elisa participating in an expedition to Serra da Bocaina, and other pupils will be going on new trips in the following weeks.
We also received great news from two of our scholars, Enzo and Mariana, who were running for Form 5 representatives in the Senior School Council. The members of the council represent their year group, bringing forward pupils’ demands and ideas to be discussed throughout the year. Enzo was elected as a representative, despite it being his first year at the school, but Mariana’s work was also widely recognised by her fellow classmates and teachers.
