We are halfway through the second term at St. Paul’s School and our scholars have been involved in various activities over the past few months. In some cases, participation in academic competitions has resulted in awards!
Here are some highlights:
Silver medals at the Brazilian Physics Olympiad
Giordano (Form 5) and Enzo (Lower 6) shone at OBF 2023, winning silver medals and demonstrating excellence in the discipline.
Maths Week Competitions
Our scholars also excelled during Maths Week, a week dedicated to activities related to mathematics, geometry, and logic. Fernando (Form 5) and João Gabriel (Lower 6) succeeded in the Mental Maths competition, achieving prominent positions in their classes.
In addition, in the competition among the finalists of each class, João Gabriel once again demonstrated his exceptional ability by achieving second place. And not stopping there, he also secured first place in the chess competition. In the same tournament, the third place went to another one of our scholars – Maitê, from Form 1.
Recognition in the French language
Maitê also received congratulations in another subject. She was recognised among the pupils in her French class for her exceptional work. This is the first year that St. Paul’s pupils have this language as a subject.
Excellence in extracurricular activities
The success of our scholars is not limited to academic subjects alone. They also excel in extracurricular activities, such as Model United Nations. This simulation of UN conferences brings together different schools in the country to engage in debates on various topics. Our scholars participated in two of the latest conferences: we had 2 representatives at SpsMUN – Claudia and Gregório – and Mariana, at BRAMUN, in Salvador, BA.
These achievements highlight not only the individual talent of our scholars but also their dedication and commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence.
We are proud of their success and confident that more achievements await them throughout the remainder of the semester!
