This year we re-launched the St. Paul\u2019s Foundation\u2019s calendar of events, including some new initiatives. We also received generous donations which kept the 2021-2022 scholarship programme strong and healthy. Below are some of our main initiatives.<\/p>\n

WOMEN IN EDUCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the \u2018Gift-a-Girl\u2019 event in May 2022, we discussed the positive impact scholarships have had on girls and their families. The event\u2019s panel included Tabata Amaral, a Federal Deputy whose life was transformed through an educational scholarship and our own scholar, Ana Claudia. The event was moderated by St Paul\u2019s Deputy Head, Zeba Clarke. Parents, teachers and scholars were touched and inspired by the panellists’ life stories. Both Tabata and Ana Claudia emphasised how important extra support is to scholars and how it was pivotal for their own success. They also emphasised the importance of parents\u2019 and teachers\u2019 support.<\/p>\n

A DOSE OF COFFEE AND GENEROSITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018A Cup of Joy\u2019 is the Foundation\u2019s coffee shop, which came about through the generous partnership with Um Coffee Co, a local coffee shop which roasts its own beans. Through this partnership, the Foundation aims to expand its community reach, strengthening the Foundation\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

VITAL DONOR SUPPORT<\/h3>\n

Every donation helps, and this year we witnessed the power of people and corporate networks which believe in the transformative power of education. Nearly 100 families actively supported us over the last year with one-off or monthly donations to the scholarship programme. These donations were sourced through the events we organised and attended, telephone contact, social media networks, email, and through the Foundation\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
