The St. Paul’s Foundation Scholarship Programme 2025-2026 Selection Process will open for applications on February 3, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for talented pupils seeking access to a world-class education with a full scholarship.

On this blog, we recently highlighted the eligibility criteria and who can participate in the process. Now, let’s break down the documents candidates need to have in hands so they’re able to apply. Preparing in advance is crucial to ensure that all required materials are complete and meet the guidelines.

1. Latest updated report card (“boletim”)

All applicants must submit their school report card with grades from the last academic year (2024). The document can be submitted as a photo or digital copy, as long as it is fully legible and clearly displays the student’s name, school grade, year, and school name.

2. Academic transcript (Optional)

Although not mandatory, attaching the academic transcript can provide valuable additional information about the student’s academic history, especially for those who might have recently transferred from another school. The transcript should include the student’s grades up to the current year and, like the report card, must be submitted as a photo or digital copy.

3. Handwritten essay in English

Applicants are required to write an essay of up to 200 words, entirely handwritten in English. They may choose one of the following topics:

  • What do you like most about yourself right now? And why?
  • What do you think will be different about the world when you are an adult?
  • How would your friends describe you?

This essay allows candidates to showcase their English skills, creativity, and original ideas, as well as what inspires and motivates them to join St. Paul’s. The text must be legible and signed by the author. Typed texts or those created with the help of artificial intelligence will not be accepted.

4. Video presentation (up to 90 seconds)

One of the most important parts of the process is creating a video presentation, with a maximum duration of 1 minute and 30 seconds. In this video, the candidate needs to:

  • Introduce themselves;
  • Talk about their hobbies, routines, academic, and personal interests;
  • Explain why they want to earn a scholarship and join St. Paul’s School;
  • (Optional) Showcase any special talent in music, arts, or sports, if they have one.

All of this must be done in English!

The video should be recorded in “landscape” format (horizontal), in a quiet environment where the applicant’s voice can be clearly heard. There’s no need to produce a sophisticated video: the primary goal is for the Foundation to get to know the applicant’s personality, interests, and talents in an authentic way.

The St. Paul’s Foundation Selection Process is more than an academic opportunity; it’s the beginning of a transformative journey. To make your application stand out, ensure all documents are prepared carefully and in accordance with the provided guidelines.

Remember: the most important thing is to be yourself at every stage of the process. Use this moment to showcase your potential, passion for learning, and determination to make the most of this unique opportunity.
