Who are the candidates in St. Paul’s Foundation’s Selection Process? See their profile

Every year the St. Paul’s Foundation Selection Process welcomes young people interested in transforming their lives and those of their families through access to a world-class and holistic education. But who are these students and where do they come from? The Foundation’s Annual Report brings together important data to help us learn more about the candidate’s profile.

These candidates came from 17 different cities in the state of São Paulo. This highlights the reach of the St. Paul’s Foundation and the multiplicity of our audience, which comes from both central and peripheral neighbourhoods of the capital and neighbouring cities such as Barueri, Guarulhos, Cotia, etc.

This data is close to the 2022-2023 Selection Process, with an average of candidates from 20 different cities being reached by the St. Paul’s Foundation.

Candidates also participate in projects from different NGOs around the city. Some of them include: ISMART, Projeto Guri and the Da Periferia para o Mundo project. Although the Foundation does not have formal partnerships with all of these organisations, they help connect students who already benefit from these social projects to our Scholarship Programme.

We have candidates in all age groups, foreseen in the programme, but most of them are between 13 and 14 years old – as has been the case in recent years. Among those enrolled, approximately 60% are girls and 40% are boys.

The St. Paul’s Foundation Scholarship Programme seeks to reach students who would not otherwise have access to the unique opportunity to access an excellent international education. One of the criteria for participation is that the family must present an income that does not allow them to pay for an education at St. Paul’s School. In the last Selection Process, the average per capita income of candidates was R$2,948.99.

Our Selection Process for entry in August 2024 will end soon, with candidates from the Preparatory Course participating in the last classes in the coming weeks.

In the Annual Report, you can see more information about the profile of our candidates, including a map of the regions and neighborhoods of São Paulo and Greater São Paulo detailing where they come from. This publication provides a comprehensive overview of the last year at the St. Paul’s Foundation, including information about the latest Selection Processes, scholars and supporters of our Scholarship Programme.
